MATILDE LIMITED EXPOSURE NO.1 – TORO

Matilde was created in 1876 in Santiago de los Caballeros. The brand ceased to exist in the early 1900’s. It was one of the first tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic. To pay homage to their country they decided to revive the brand with deep roots in the Dominican Republic – Matilde was revived by the Seijas family in 2014.

A savory Mexican Maduro wrapper covers  Dominican binder and filler, resulting in a rich profile with tobacco sweetness and hints of spice. As the name would suggest, production is limited, in this case to just 250 boxes of 20 cigars, a total of 5,000 cigars.
